Moving
Existing Documents into Folders
1. OPEN the LOCATION
where the document is located, but don’t actually open the
document itself.
2. If the location where you want the document moved is different, RESTORE
the
above screen.
3. OPEN the LOCATION
where you want the document moved, if different.
4. CLICK and DRAG
the document into the folder – until the folder name is
highlighted.
5. RELEASE the mouse.
*If the document is coming from
a floppy, the document will still be on the floppy after moving it to the folder.
*If the document is coming from somewhere in your computer, it will then move
to the folder and NO longer be located in the original place. However, this
is usually your purpose when organizing folders.
