     • If double-clicked on the center of the page, the alignment will be centered.
     • Double clicking to the left will start left aligned text,
     • And double-clicking on the right hand side will result in right aligned text.

Overtype

Sometimes a whole section of a particular document may need to be deleted and new text typed in its place. The overtype mode allows a user to position the cursor before the text to be deleted and as typing, the new text actually types over and replaces the previous text. In this way, the user can see the old text while making changes or rewording the old text.

1. Place insertion point at beginning of text to replace.

2. Press the [INSERT] key and overtype mode will start. You will know you are in overtype mode by seeing ‘OVR’ in black across the bottom status bar.

3. Begin typing new text and it will replace the existing text.
