Chief Hunter Templeton graduated from Honey Grove High School and went on to enlist in the United States Air Force in 2013. He served as a Security Forces defender stationed at Lackland Air Force base and was attached to the 802nd Security Forces Squadron. He deployed to the middle-east in 2015 and upon his return he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Chief Templeton attended the nationally recognized Airman Leadership School in 2017. He then retrained out of the Security Forces and into the Education and Training career field. Chief Templeton was stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base and was attached to the 82nd Training Wing as their Wing Training Manager. After serving 5 ½ years of active duty service he joined the Texas Highway Patrol in 2019 and was stationed in South Texas. Chief Templeton and his family decided to finally move back home to Honey Grove after he was hired by the Anna Police Department in 2020. While at the Anna Police Department Chief Templeton was promoted to accident investigator and traffic unit officer. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from American Military University in 2022. Chief Templeton married his wife Crissy Templeton in 2014, and they have two children, Hayslee (8) and Haven (7).
