James Branam named as Bonham High School Principal: 2022-2023

The Bonham ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve James Branam as Bonham High School Principal for the 2022-2023 school year. Mr. Branam comes to Bohnam from Celeste ISD, where he has served as High School Principal for seven years. Mr. Branam began his career in Bells ISD as Math and Science teacher and coach. Prior to working in Celeste, he served as Principal of Sue Evelyn Rattan Elementary School in Anna ISD for three years after having served four years as the campus’ Assistant Principal. He is currently a Doctoral student at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Mr. Branam has three children, Kaitlyn Branam 23, who teaches and coaches in Farmersville, Ben Branam 19, who is a sophomore at Texas A&M College Station, and Easton Branam 13.

Mr. Branam is excited for this opportunity in Bonham and is excited to be a part of the Warrior Family. Mr. Branam said, “I believe that the success of BISD students stems directly from the community's desire to provide them with the highest quality education available and thus, the best opportunity to be successful in our ever-changing society!  I am excited to become a Bonham Purple Warrior for these reasons, and I will bring this same commitment, desire and excitement daily to contribute to the success of the students of Bonham High School!”

Bonham ISD and BHS are honored to have Mr. Branam and are excited to have him bring his experiences to BISD.
