Bonham ISD announces new Head Basketball Coach, Eric Hicks!

Eric Hicks is a 2005 graduate of Bonham High School. This will be Coach Hicks 10th year in education and his 2nd year in Bonham. Coach Hicks has 4 years experience as a head basketball coach with a career record of 77-44 while making the playoffs all 4 years. He has previously worked at Paris, Rivercrest and Quitman, where he also coached football, track and golf.

Coach Hicks received his undergraduate degree from University of Texas at Tyler in Kinesiology in 2010. While at UT-Tyler, Coach Hicks served as a student assistant coach for the men’s basketball team.  In 2015 he received his Masters degree in Education Administration from UT-Tyler.

Coach Hicks has been married to his wife Heather for 9 years and together they have two boys. Grady, 6, who just finished 1st grade and Gentry, 4, who will be starting Pre-K next year. His family attends and are active members at 7th and Main Baptist Church in Bonham. Coach Hicks also serves on the Event Leadership Team for the Fannin County Relay for Life.
