Incorporate FUN at Work
Over the first semester, the Central Office Team has been taking turns presenting various chapters from the book - You Can't Send a Duck to Eagle School. The book contains numerous short chapters with valuable, common-sense lessons about the workplace and leadership within the workplace.
The Technology Department led our next to last week and it was FUN. Their chapter - Turn Up the Fun-O-Meter challenges people to have fun at work. It stresses the importance of finding ways to incorporate FUN into the workplace for positive benefits.
To illustrate the chapter, the Tech Dept created a game in which we had to roll a ball down the table trying to land in a square with a prize. There was lots of strategizing, laughter and a few winners. We only played the game for about 5 minutes that morning, but wow, it was a great way to start our day.
I encourage you to find ways to have FUN at work - the benefits are immeasurable.
~Kelly
HUGE Kudos to our BISD Bus Drivers and Monitors
Our bus drivers go unnoticed most of the time since they do their job impeccably well and transport our students to and from school without fail.
To be honest, on Wednesday, I was a little anxious about the roads getting worse and hearing of accidents and vehicles ending up in ditches. However, Mr. Humphrey and I had every confidence in our drivers and their ability to navigate the roads. They traveled slowly and with great focus and delivered all our kids back home safely!
They definitely deserve a BIG Thank You!
